We believe retirement planning should be understandable
Not buried in complexity, not sold through fear, and never one-size-fits-all.
How we started
Harmony Quartz began after watching too many capable, hardworking people reach retirement age completely unprepared. Not because they lacked resources, but because the system made it nearly impossible to understand what they actually needed to do.
We saw people with $800,000 in super who thought they were broke. Others with $200,000 convinced they were fine. Both groups suffered from the same problem: no clear picture, no honest conversation, and no plan built around their actual life.
So we built something different. A service focused on clarity over complexity. One that explains rather than obscures. That shows you the numbers and lets you decide, rather than pushing products you don't need.
Our approach
We don't sell financial products. We don't earn commissions. We charge for advice, not for managing your money.
This changes everything. It means when we recommend consolidating super funds, we're not steering you toward one that pays us. When we suggest an investment strategy, it's because it suits your risk tolerance and timeline, not our incentive structure.
Every client receives the same level of detail regardless of their account size. Someone with $150,000 gets the same quality analysis as someone with $1.5 million. Your situation determines the strategy, nothing else.
What guides us
Transparency first
We show you the calculations. We explain the assumptions. You see exactly how we arrived at each recommendation.
No jargon barrier
If we use a term you don't recognize, we define it immediately. Financial literacy shouldn't be a prerequisite for good advice.
Realistic modeling
We use conservative return assumptions and factor in inflation properly. Optimistic projections feel good until they don't.
Your priorities, not ours
Some people want to maximize their estate. Others want to spend it all. Both are valid. We build plans around what you actually want.
Experience that matters
Our advisors average seventeen years in financial planning, with specific focus on retirement and superannuation. All hold relevant Australian qualifications and maintain ongoing education requirements.
We've guided clients through market crashes, rule changes, family disputes, and health crises. We've seen what works across different scenarios, not just in theory.
Why clients choose us
Most come to us after frustrating experiences elsewhere. They've dealt with advisors who seemed more interested in selling than listening. Or received generic advice that ignored their specific circumstances.
What keeps them working with us is straightforward: we deliver what we promise, we communicate clearly, and we're available when they need us. Not groundbreaking concepts, just consistently applied.
"After three different advisors over ten years, I finally found someone who actually explained things instead of just telling me what to sign." — Jennifer M., Perth
